Consultancy services
I have been working as an independent consultant for voluntary and community organisations since 1992 – except between 1999 and 2004, when I was Grants Director for Comic Relief.

As a management consultant, I focus on

· Helping organisations prepare for growth or manage change
· Supporting boards and senior staff to resolve management problems
· Reviewing the effectiveness of organisations’ governance, strategies and practices and helping them develop and implement new policies and approaches
· Helping agencies communicate their ideas and achievements to raise funds, develop practice or influence opinion formers
· Researching, writing and editing reports for publication
· Assisting grant-makers and emerging philanthropists with setting priorities, developing systems and analysing results
· Offering project management, interim management services and supportive mentoring.
