Consultancy services
I have been working as an independent consultant for voluntary and community organisations since 1992 – except between 1999 and 2004, when I was Grants Director for Comic Relief.

As a management consultant, I focus on  
Helping organisations prepare for growth or manage change
Supporting boards and senior staff to resolve management problems
Reviewing the effectiveness of organisations’ governance, strategies and practices and helping them develop and implement new policies and approaches
Helping agencies communicate their ideas and achievements to raise funds, develop practice or influence opinion formers
Researching, writing and editing reports for publication
Assisting grant-makers and emerging philanthropists with setting priorities, developing systems and analysing results
Offering interim management services and supportive mentoring.
